Susana Cereja's passion for painting and illustration, alongside with her connection with architecture, is revealed on her compositions, on the use of colour and experimentation with new materials, through a more immediate design and hard graphite. This immediacy and spontaneity that the artist is constantly looking for and practicing are expressed mainly through engraving, which she performs in her studio, where she spends most of her time.

Her work is also marked by her tapestries, which developed from her curiosity to try new materials with a special touch. This is the sensory aspect inherent of her pieces.
